In case of Work Permits or Intercompany Transfer we may need to do the following additionally, which will increase the prices as set out above:
  • Advertise the position in the Sunday Times Newspaper or The Star Workplace to proof that no other SA Citizen have the necessary skills to do the work - these costs are not fixed due to the changing prices of newspaper advertisements.
  • After the position is advertised, we receive all the responses from applicants and compile a file with all the applications and supporting documentation
  • We write a report that summarizes why each candidate does not qualify for the position and a motivation on why your candidate is the best person for the position.
  • We may need to send a Kroll or MIE request to verify that the candidate's qualifications submitted are true and correct.
  • After receiving the Kroll and MIE approval we need to send this and a letter to SAQA - Government Department, who needs to give approval that the qualifications are suitable for the position and of the correct standards. (SAQA's amount change as per the qualifications we submit of each applicant)
  • After receiving all of the above mentioned, we send the documents to the Home Affair Office to apply for the Business Visa .
It may take up to 3 or 4 months to the the Visas, depending on the Department of Home Affair's work volume as well as the following:
  • Give candidates qualifications in at SAQA Board in SA for approval - this takes 3 to 4 weeks
  • Advertise the position in the newspaper with a week closing period - get other applications, short list candidates, interview them and give your applicants CV plus our recommendation in at Home Affairs together with the application form and SAQA approval to apply for work permit.

Documentation Needed:

Work permit General
  • Proof of qualifications evaluated by South African qualification authority (highest educational degree/certificate and transcripts including translations if applicable must be submitted to the qualification authority.
  • A motivation letter from the employer on why a citizen/resident could not fill the position, accompanied by documentary proof of efforts made to obtain the services of a citizen or resident
  • Advertisement of the position advertised in the national print media advert size 6 cm x 6cm with a closing date
  • Particulars of unsuccessful candidates
  • Proof of registration with the professional body or board/council, if applicable
  • Employment contract
  • The employer to submit a certification from the department of labour or an extraction from the database of a salary benchmarking organization detailing the average salary earned by employees fulfilling similar positions in the Republic.
Quota work permits.
  • Proof of the relevant qualifications as certified by the South African qualification authority, including authenticated copies of academic certificates or degrees
  • Proof of registration with the professional body, board or council, if applicable.
  • Proof of previous experience (Testimonials /service certificates from previous employers) 5 years on job experience
  • Employment contract
Exceptional skills work permit.
  • Testimonials from previous employers
  • A letter from a foreign or South Africa organ of state, or from an established South African academic, cultural or business body, confirming the applicant's exceptional skills or qualifications.
  • Any other proof to substantiate the exceptional skills or qualifications such as publications and testimonials
  • A letter of motivation indicating that the exceptional skills possessed by the applicant will be to the benefit of the South African environment in which the applicant intends to operate
  • Employment contract
The following original supporting documents must accompany the application at all times
  • Valid passports and 2 photos, all applicants
  • Police clearance certificates, all applicants 18 and older
  • Medical reports, all applicants
  • Birth certificates
  • Radiological reports, all applicants 12 years and older (will provide prescribed forms)
  • Comprehensive Curriculum vitae
  • Marriage certificate, where applicable
  • Testimonials from previous employers
  • Release letter from previous company
